I trust WC to deliver the greatest hits and to focus on the war in Europe. When you get through all that, look to the pacific: The thin red line The naked and the dead Cryptonomicon (about 1/3 war, 1/3 crypto, and 1/3 other)

You should put the WWII museum in New Orleans on your bucket list. It was originally call the D-Day Museum before it expanded. The whole rabbit hole that led to it being built here was that Higgins boats which made landing on that beach possible came out of NOLA.

Ah I’ve been preparing for this cast my entire adult life. So honestly imo the highest ROI for anything WWII consumption related is watching Band of Brothers. We literally use the famous bunker clearing clip as reference for military classes. Will organize my thoughts @drinkbeerkillwar.eth def has war college reading lists

A largely unknown but core piece of the Nazi resistance was fought in Crete. There's a great documentary about this if you can get your hands on it: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0482444/

Stephen Ambrose’s D-Day is pretty definitive. I served in 4th ID (IV Division) who’s motto is “First at Normandy” also the name of this Don Strivers painting. https://i.imgur.com/Fbrc818.jpg

I’d recommend The Splendid and the Vile as a good read if you want to understand a lot of the details of the beginning of the war. It covers the first year of Winston Churchills leadership.

Slightly different content that I don’t think anyone is going to recommend, but I really like this YT channel, not just about WW2 Here’s their series on The battle of the Bulge https://youtu.be/UoynTOzLD28
