You should put the WWII museum in New Orleans on your bucket list. It was originally call the D-Day Museum before it expanded. The whole rabbit hole that led to it being built here was that Higgins boats which made landing on that beach possible came out of NOLA.

NOLA got many shoutouts on my tours for this exact reason. I’ve never been but I’ll add this as another reason to go! Are you based there?
