If Americans can vote from space, we should be able to vote from our cell phones— the same way we can pay taxes: https://www.tmz.com/2024/09/13/stranded-astronauts-still-voting-2024-election-ballot/

💯 and even if cell phones might be too out there; there are certainly other ways to verify votes There’s a Billions episode where a politician introduces blockchain voting at an Indian reservation … the same politician then kills the bill because of special interest. If an IP address is associated with a verified adult via main home address of a registered voter, there’s no reason why that person couldn’t vote from home except of course the voting machine industry wouldn’t make any profits

But then how will all these modern day jim crow laws work?? We've been trialing this in a few cities in Cali, and it's a huge pain in the ass to ensure every voter can access the tools and vote... BUT the results are absolutely astounding. Over 100% voter turnout increase, and a huge increase in support for ballot measures which actually support the working class. Seems that there's some negation of the effects of advertising misinformation as well. This is huge for California, where our state and local politics are overrun with corruption and disinfo. That's why the state (and others) don't want adoption.

I would say no - the more sophisticated the system - the more the opportunity to question the results - paper ballots work extremely well
