I have phantom wallet. It’s good, I’d say it’s as good as Rainbow (though Rainbows bridging between EVM chains and open source-ness wins imo). 

And think they deserve the round the got (probably a monopoly on Solana). 

But, it’s not as good as the marketing says it is.

Just found out @Phantom wallet has 15 MILLION MONTHLY ACTIVE USERS

That’s up 368% from 3.2M MAU in Jan 2024.

And up 1,400% from 1M MAU in Jan 2023.

Wow. The numbers speak for themselves.

Yep, I'm in total agreement that they deserve the round. Strong monopoly in Solana, and team has been executing well for a long time. A strong brand in crypto.

But it doesn't feel breakthrough from a UX pov. maybe I should've made that clearer.

as a user, I have had many issues with rainbow whereas I’ve had basically none with phantom. 

obviously the technical challenges are very different but phantom is an amazing product.

You should use try rabby. Much better experience over rainbow imo. 


Phantom is still not open sourced afaik. Wouldn’t touch a wallet that’s not open source.
