I grew up as a Muslim during the post 9/11 era, I was racially and physically abused through my childhood because of this. 

I worry that all of our strong, hateful rhetoric will do that for kids who have nothing to do with any of this. And I mean this for both sides.

I can only hope that the children figure out a way to do better. The olds have blown it. I say that as one. I hope it can improve and we can break the cycle of hate and insanity. Thank you for sharing this.
