There’s a lot of talk right now about Moxie prices and sentiment. There is a misconception that the project is facing heavy sell pressure but when you actually look at the numbers, that’s not the case.

Order volume has been low, and while there have been more sells than buys, the difference is pretty minimal—like 8-12K/day. It’s not a huge wall of red, instead just a small gap.

In other words, I don’t think there is as much to worry about here as it looks like. Yes, price is currently in the shitter, but I don’t think it always will be. The /airstack team is working on features that should increase demand on the buy side. On top of this, Moxie is being heavily integrated into the rest of the Farcaster ecosystem. It’s only  matter of time. How much time is the question. What’s your time horizon?

An increase of $8k - $12k USD of Moxie buy pressure is all it takes for the price trend to reverse

This is an indicator of how much the asset is being used in a productive way within the ecosystem. 

So ETH that is staked or in DeFi is being used in a productive way, earning yield for users, and therefore it is less likely to be sold.

Same case for Moxie, but it has an even higher locked rate, which most would consider to be bullish

Why is this considered a good thing? (Not asking in a sassy way)

absolutely, so much potential. I believe the price trend will reverse, but that can take time. 

And yes I believe Moxie Promote and Earn will help with bringing new money into the system.

Honestly, it's not much, if we all work together we can do it and reverse the trend, liquidity is low for now, but we can do it.

We need to work on getting Moxie seen as well, "Marketing" initiatives in the community, I want to help in some way too, there is a lot of work and potential here.

Sure well there are two types of reasons IMO

1) Speculation - price could go up a lot from here (could also go down more)
2) Utility - Moxie is needed to buy FTs when have their own types of utility, and boosting Farscore

Buying any asset really you are someone's exit liquidity. Generally speaking, for there to be a buyer - there also needs to be a seller

What encourages people to buy Moxie?

I am hesitant, it feels like just willingly being someone else's exit liquidity.

But, I also do not really understand coineconomics at all.

There is nothing more powerful in this world than words.

Moxie promote will certainly help the situation, but I wouldn't say everything is hanging on it. FTs still have utility in boosting farscore, and many have additional utilities creators have enabled. 

Price will find a bottom if it hasn't already, and once we got some positive price movement people will start to FOMO back in.

The problem is, nobody is buying. And nobody is buying because nobody has a reason to buy. TVL in fan tokens doesn't matter if there is nothing that drives buy pressure. Again, this all comes back to buy and burn emissions which are so low now it's not even moving the needle. Is everything hanging on Moxie promote?

That’s right, sellers will leave given the current changes. Old guard who were selling with little skin in the game or fell the initial wall of support will thin out and that will be the new floor.

After locking is the main challenge in the sell pressure 🤔

We need a lot of volume. Why a lot of sells lol.. people still need to study

I'm a little easier to react to all this because I sold a lot of moxie at a price of 0.003-35, just because I do not always like where the project is going, as many support farming and so on, but now I think the price is fair and buy a little bit at a time, and if the innovations will also begin to work - it will be all nice

It was falling every day and seemed like there was a lot of selling going on, but I realized it was just not being bought.

We have a strong community tbh 
I feel we can pull this off
Also the incorporation of the moxie promote and the launch of FT for different projects would most likely increase the buy pressure 
So we’re definitely going higher soon
