Sifted my compost with this sifter I built. 1/4" squares are best grate size that I've found. I also use it to sift wood chips for composting or laying on spots as a cover. Anybody else do this?

This is a good idea👍I'm just going to do this. Usually I just rub it with my hands and remove what’s unnecessary😊

Looks great! 🪱 Does the stuff that doesn’t make it through the sift just go back into the compost?

I do this with potting soil and compost for containers. Same mesh size - works really well for me.

Yep, definitely soft loads of stuff. Use several trades depending on what I'm doing 1" for biochar-, 1/4" for topdressing or even smaller if I want some really fine stuff. Nice rig🤝 1 $DEGEN

I’m just getting my compost set up again. I have not tried this before but it seems like a good idea.
