Noboribetsu is famous for their onsen and demons who protect the town, but they also have some of the best Naple鈥檚 style pizza I鈥檝e ever had because the proprietor fell in love with pizza and thought if he could combine the amazing dairy (this is 4 cheese and honey) of Hokkaido + their wheat and tomatoes, he could make pizza that was amazing. Best pizza I've ever had was in Tokyo, Dream Factory. So I certainly need to add noboribetsu to my list of things to do whenever I can arrange a trip to Hokkaido.

Yes! The owner spent time in Italy to learn how to do pizza right. My wife knows some Italian, they had a whole conversation in Italian. He was so excited he got to speak Italian that he made us a complimentary dessert pizza - we already had 3 whole pizzas because they were so good. This was the only place we went to more than once the whole 3 weeks were we in Japan.

Same with this place! So many Japanese chefs studied in Italy and wanted to bring good pizza to Japan. 10 years ago I wouldn鈥檛 be caught dead eating pizza here and now I hunt it. So excited to try this one!
