On June 16th 1963, Valentina Tereshkova was the first woman to enter space. She rode on the Vostok 6 made by the Soviet Union. Valentina would eventually be awarded the Order of Lenin and continue on to have a successful political career in Russia.

What is the best resource going deep into what parts of history were “predetermined” (IOW, had an obvious “adjacent possible” for the taking) vs. what parts were relatively unlikely or a product of luck ?

TIL postgres has multirange types and operators We currently store ranges in a table with `start` and `end` columns, and have implemented these set operations in app code Might be able to delete a bunch of code and tests 😈 Docs: https://www.postgresql.org/docs/current/rangetypes.html
