Read through this and it sounds like more of a set of“services” that Merck offers to rapidly generate vaccines, along with a fancy dashboard, bundled into a marketing term, sequivity. Saying“software that lets them make…” - that phrasing makes it sound like farmers going wild creating mutant pigs. That is not the case at all here at all.

It is fundamentally about the software “platform” though. The “services” to sequence local pathogens and then produce the vaccine are just input / output The core is a data analytics platform that allows Merck to ingest a ton of data and serve analytics, including advising the producer what RNA sequence to use in the vaccine I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s billed as a subscription either, SaaS is a great business model
