I think most people are just afraid of what would happen to society if everyone believed they could live forever. People wouldn’t have kids, people wouldn’t be willing to fight for things they believe in, etc.

The bar for everything would be higher, yes

But there’s nothing inherently wrong with that. It’ll seem normal when lives are longer
