Burned myself out a venture backed startup, mostly due to being an under compensated employee who lost passion for the project and its founders I think burnout occurs when you lose sight of the thing you loved about working on the project in the first place, can occur at any stage

Itโ€™s hard to see the signs of a burnout, and so I kept bouncing back and forth between hope and despair while being told repeatedly that everything is going to work out and that we need to be patient. In the end project was cancelled and I decided to part my ways with the org. Instant rebound after I resigned.

ah super nostalgic about this. tldr; 8 months in. 7 months of building, 1 month of fundraising & $100k in soft commits. personal high & low in the same month, miscommunication leading to semi-major conflict with cofounder. taking a break, realising the burnout, winding down. all in 1 month
