web3 grants are broken. Bunch of projects asking for money to build stuff for a community without proper research into the problem or impact criteria wdyt?

It might be as you say but one the reasons that I would point out for that is because there’s still people/groups who are hesitant to take a dive into web3. Grants are supposed to go somewhere and if the good ones don’t show up that still shouldn’t stop the wheel from turning!

Disagree. requirement should state to add user insights. Payment should be contingent on achieving milestones and foundations should follow back to track and record impact. This isn’t an attack at any specific foundation, but an observation after applying for grants in academia & now web3 since 2010
