They were close. He’s not going bc she didn’t invite their father, who lives in a different province from all of us, and their rift has nothing to do with him. He’s doing it out of loyalty to him bc he knows if he goes, his dad will be disappointed in him. It’s messed up and I hate it.

Exactly!! She’s only getting married once & it’s important to her he be there. That should be enough. But also the fact that she wants him there enough she’s willing to buy him a suit, knowing he can’t afford a gift & even tho she’s paying $80/plate for dinner *bc* she loves him. I can’t get involved even tho I want to bc no good will come of it. It’s stressful 😣
