That was scary! ๐Ÿ˜จ My dinner was 166g of carbs bc it mostly consisted of rice. My pump calculated I needed 2.9 units of insulin to thwart this meal & shot me up. I ended up only being able to eat the rice portion of my meal but figured that was the biggest source of carbs & I'd be fine. NOPE! An hour & a half later, I drop down to 2.9, with almost 2 units of insulin still in my system! (IOB = insulin on board/in your system) I ate some pie and corrected but it was freaky seeing the numbers & knowing "uh oh, I done fucked up" and not knowing yet what would happen! ๐Ÿ˜… Is this the time I'm gonna have a seizure or lose consciousness? ๐Ÿ˜ฌ But I was fine. I am fine. I'm 8.4 right now with 1.35 units of insulin still inside me. It's pretty cool that the pump's Personal Diabetes Manager (PDM) will tell me that! Moral of the story: I need to learn how to finish what's on my plate. ๐Ÿ˜•

Does anyone else find that some people just do NOT understand the concept of sketches? The last 3 or 4 times I showed someone a sketch of an idea I had for them, using stick people (which I always do), they got upset and turned their noses up! Like, "well if that's all you're gonna do, don't bother!" Like morons, you've seen my work, you know what I do, how can you not see that this is a SKETCH of an IDEA? That THIS is how THAT starts?

I got my pump today! Apparently it's doing its thing! I only understood ~2/3 of everything they said to me at the hospital about it today, admittedly. ๐Ÿ˜… Ordinarily I'd be doing a needle right now, but I'm shitposting here instead bc I don't have to anymore! It felt weird taking almost all of my pens out of my kit this afternoon because I don't need to carry them around anymore! I feel naked! I'm about to eat chips & bolus for the 1st time, hopefully I don't die or anything! ๐Ÿคž

I gain immense clarity on tough decisions by immersing myself in nothing but work and The Sims 4 for weeks on end. No social engagements. No meetings. No appointments. Just me in The Sims Bunker. It's been my method of coping with stress & making decisions for almost 25 yrs. Like Buddhist meditation.
