The first computer games I played where text based adventures. Playing SmartHome sure brings back vibes and memories. Warning this is an addictive game. I just wanted to quickly try it out and found myself playing for two hours 😅. Enjoying crypto meta and dark humor cynic undertones. Games as art. https://smarthome.steviep.xyz/

I’m afraid I haven‘t gotten to that far, though I figured that would be one of my next steps. Firstly explored the house, got my internet running and then spent quite some time reading the Personal Finance Educator and finding out how to make money and trying to make money. Of course downloading and exploring apps. But love the game is so detailed and complex. I don’t know if it’s actually complex but it looks complex. But on another level I like it that the game makes tangible that deeply anchored in the application of technology in every aspect of life is an illusion that people are separate from the rest of nature and from other people. The smart home, apps, etc, contribute to the increasing separation of people from the world around them. In the game the phone and the smart home tech is actually a barrier. You are always interacting by proxy, never direct experience. It makes one think.
