Yotsuba to! 
 
This is a story about Koiwai Yotsuba, a fantastically energetic, curious, and friendly 5 year old who lives with her father. The theme of this manga is "Enjoy everything!" and Yotsuba certainly knows how to do it. 
 
The innocence and wonder of this endearing manga really shine through. There's a pervasive feeling of peace and happiness, and I've found it impossible to come away without a smile and a good mood. 
 
It's a slice-of-life, and it manages to be hilarious and sweet without being cloying. All of the characters are genuine and lovable. 
 
The character design art is very similar to the author's other work, Azumanga Daioh, but the backgrounds and landscapes are detailed and artful.
