Classroom of the Elite This is probably a pretty biased review since this is the first ever LN I've read. I got into this LN because I enjoyed the 1st season of the anime, so I picked up this LN because I got curious. I've always hated reading books and preferred Anime and Manga before because I couldn't understand why a bunch of words and texts could entertain people. But after I finished the 1st-4th volume of this series I can say it is surprisingly enjoyable, even more than the anime itself. I finished the entire 1-year arc in a few months and they are all really good. I can finally understand why some people say the source material is always better than the adaption. So if you're looking for a reading material as a first time reader, I'd recommend this series, it's very enjoyable, easy to read and can keep you entertained.

Umineko When They Cry Episode 8: Twilight of the Golden Witch Umineko is an absolute banger of a visual novel, and this manga ending makes it just as good, if not better. The narrative of chapter 8 is one of the best writing i’ve ever seen from Ryukishi. There are so many reasons why this is considered one of the best VNs of all time. The themes on how to value your own life and look for a future, and sometimes you don’t necessarily have to know the truth, the power of faith, using that to acknowledge your past sins is brilliantly executed in this visual novel. I can ramble on and on about Umi for hours, but I don’t wanna spoil anything. This manga expands even more on the core of the visual novel, and makes me sympathize with the villan even more. It gives you a proper closure if you are dissatisfied with the Visual Novel.

Three Days of Happiness this manga is by no means hidden, i think a fair amount of people know about it. although it's genuinely one of the best manga's i've read to date, take that as you will. if you're looking for a bittersweet story dealing with romance, loneliness, and a search for happiness this has it all. the read can be a bit jarring at times, but it's ultimately a really sweet pay off in the end. this manga is short, obviously. you could definitely finish it in an hour or two if you're reading it all in one sitting, but the pacing in it is perfect. everything comes together really nicely and the story's world building, and also somewhat supernatural aspects to it. while the read is short, i can guarantee what you gain from this manga sticks with you forever.

Yotsuba to! This is a story about Koiwai Yotsuba, a fantastically energetic, curious, and friendly 5 year old who lives with her father. The theme of this manga is "Enjoy everything!" and Yotsuba certainly knows how to do it. The innocence and wonder of this endearing manga really shine through. There's a pervasive feeling of peace and happiness, and I've found it impossible to come away without a smile and a good mood. It's a slice-of-life, and it manages to be hilarious and sweet without being cloying. All of the characters are genuine and lovable. The character design art is very similar to the author's other work, Azumanga Daioh, but the backgrounds and landscapes are detailed and artful.

Kaguya-sama: Love Is War This manga has been a wild ride to read and I couldn't be happier that i made the decision to read this amazing manga. All the characters serve a purpose and their interactions are all played so well. The flow of the manga simply feels natural. Each characters feels real and you come to understand them and their actions. A perfect character is ishigami. You come to love his character development, as he becomes a lot more social, more open and more mindfull of the people around him. Its amazing to see each character and how the progress and develop in this manga.

Land of the Lustrous This story is a true joy to read and feels almost perfect. The writing is standout, juggling heavy themes and philosophies with a balance of humour and action. It's at times slower and more contemplative while also being ambitiously fast-paced. The humour always landed for me, making this manga funny quite often. The world is very interesting, with easily understandable main ideas but also lots of questions that get answered as you go further in. This manga has many moments that stand out and I definitely got hyped up several times. This manga is highly creative, extremely entertaining, and beautiful in its uniquely elegant style. Its also a thoughtful exploration of themes of life, loneliness, and loss of self.

Goodnight Punpun Oyasumi Punpun (Goodnight Punpun) can be described as a best selling book when comparing it to Harry potter, however it is in a form of a manga and targets a specific audience. This manga describes REALITY by introducing the main character called punpun. We are following the story by his view of reality. Although there some chapters in the story that will describe the life of the other characters. The author try's to deal with all day issues concerning individual human beings such as Redemption, Jealousy, Sex, Anger. The author really try's to keep the story to the point of realism that it increases the depth of our view of the world while moving the plot by raising the bar very very very high.

Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint At the start, you are a confused audience member who is staring at awe as something that shouldn't be possible. As the story/act progresses, information is given in small crumbs until the whole magic trick unravels. Once you finish the book, you see the whole trick, but you can't recall how it's done after a while. When you reread, you see all the plants for the trick and it begins to click in your head, and you begin to recollect more and more as the magic goes on. You catch the foreshadowing sprinkled throughout the manhwa. For the information that passed right over your head on first read through, you now see the crucial importance of it all and understand the actions and decisions of certain characters more. Whilst knowing how the trick is done, you are enjoying watching the magician do it. You lose no enjoyment just because you know how it works, and you're still entertained to see it unravel slowly.

Grand Blue Dreaming It's not often that a Manga makes me literally laughing out loud. Most comedy Manga were either totally unfunny and boring or just managed to make me blow the air slightly more forceful through my nostrils. Grand Blue isn't one of those Manga. The story isn't very special. The art is good but nothing outstanding. Except when one of the characters goes bonkers. Most of the time you'll probably laugh because of the ridiculous over the top depiction of certain emotions. If you just want to lean back, have a good laugh and not worry about your (shitty) life, then this is the Manga for you. If you look for anything deeper than just stupid, but very funny, comedy, then don't even bother. We don't like you anyway.

Death Note episode 9 - Encounter L's suspicions are momentarily subdued, but he does not discard the possibility that Light may be Kira and decides to meet him in person. At the college entrance exams, Light notices a mysterious and eccentric student staring at him, who introduces himself as Hideki Ryuga, the same name as a famous idol. Light is shocked when "Hideki Ryuga" reveals himself as L. Since it would be too suspicious for L to die right after meeting Light, he decides to befriend L, gather more information about his true identity, and kill him at a later time.

Manga Vinland Saga This manga is brutal. More brutal than Berserk, Vagabond or anything of that ilk. Not to slight those manga, but one is a fantasy and the other is an adaptation of a romanticising novel. This manga is brutal because Vinland Saga's atrocities are reality-based and certainly not romanticised, whereas other manga usually are more fantastical or divided clearly between good and bad, right and wrong, black and white, or simply 'here is the protagonist, just root for him'. Not so in Yukimura's love letter to old fashioned beheadings, as Vinland is about Vikings.

Manga Slam Dunk Hanamichi Sakuragi, a red-headed delinquent and complete basketball neophyte, is the heart and soul of Slam Dunk. He's great at various things (beating up other delinquents, being tall, and being rejected by girls are chiefs among them), and while playing basketball is clearly not one of them, don't tell him that; in fact, Sakuragi's brand of unreasonable confidence and swaggery is a breath of fresh air in a genre usually populated by bland genius or meek underdogs as main protagonists. He's a very easy character to root for, and it's delightful to watch him slowly transform from playing just to impress a girl into being genuinely affected by all the feelings that the game entailed.

Death Note episode 8 - Glare L is close to discovering the identity of Kira. Misora's disappearance causes L to shortlist the people who were being tracked by the FBI at the time of Raye Penber's death. He requests surveillance equipment to be installed in the homes of those he suspects, including Soichiro Yagami's son. Light, however, becomes aware that he is being watched and has Ryuk locate all the cameras in his room. He deceives the surveillance team by watching the news on a portable television hidden in a bag of potato chips and continues to kill the criminals being reported.

Death Note episode 7 - Overcast Light writes the name Shoko Maki on the Death Note. When nothing happens, he coaxes her true name, Naomi Misora, out of her by pretending to work for L. As the Death Note takes effect, Light informs her that he is Kira and watches as Naomi walks away to commit suicide. Meanwhile, Watari reveals his identity in the meeting with Light's father and the other detectives. He gives the detectives special gadgets embedded in clothing in the event Kira comes into contact with them or they are in trouble. Detective Shuichi Aizawa is sent to the police headquarters by L and just misses Naomi handing her driver's license to Light as a form of identification.
