Classroom of the Elite 
 
This is probably a pretty biased review since this is the first ever LN I've read. I got into this LN because I enjoyed the 1st season of the anime, so I picked up this LN because I got curious. I've always hated reading books and preferred Anime and Manga before because I couldn't understand why a bunch of words and texts could entertain people. But after I finished the 1st-4th volume of this series I can say it is surprisingly enjoyable, even more than the anime itself. 
 
I finished the entire 1-year arc in a few months and they are all really good. I can finally understand why some people say the source material is always better than the adaption. So if you're looking for a reading material as a first time reader, I'd recommend this series, it's very enjoyable, easy to read and can keep you entertained.
