Does anyone here write the majority of their code in vim? Are you really faster relying purely on keystrokes than with the mouse + basic shortcuts in a modern IDE?

I do, and an important distinction is vim keybindings vs a terminal workflow. IMO the vim bindings are worthwhile learning for any dev as they can be used in any editor, and they can help you be faster. However a terminal workflow is where things really get fast
