This week I built IPDB, a decentralized database concept using Base, IPFS, and PGlite. It takes a local database using PGlite, uploads backups to IPFS, and maintains state using smart contracts on Base. Would love to hear what people think! https://bit.ly/3Bwouwb

But IPFS is a cache and distribution mechanism, not a storage. How can it be a backup?

Perhaps more technically accurate would be backups pinned to nodes ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Each node that pins has a copy of the file
