Setting up a small paid group here on Farcaster is WAY smoother than doing it on Facebook. OMG the difference is like night and day. On Facebook, I have to set up a recurring subscription on the payment platform. Then I have to set up the group and manually add each subscriber as they subscribe because there's no way to automate that on Facebook, unless you use the Facebook payments options, and a lot of people still won't use that, preferring Paypal or Patreon, neither of which integrate well with facebook - FB even likes to hide their links. Here? Set up the @hypersub, create the channel, add the automod to gate the channel, create the group chat, add the NFT gate to the group chat, and bam, the bots handle all the work of adding people as they join. SO MUCH EASIER. And though my group and audience is smaller here than on Facebook, the group chat in my Curious Creator Club is SO much more dynamic than on Facebook 😍

I have to admit: reading the automation steps sounds like more work! 😂 But I can see how automation is easier in the long term. I wonder: how could we make the unfamiliar (setting up the automations) feel easier than the familiar (using FB), so that Facebook people/creators would be interested in making the switch?

It *sounds* like a lot, but it really took just a few minutes to do! Tutorials I think will go a long way for helping people overcome the mild tech hurdles - it's mostly just a lot of new terminology that trips people up because setting up a hypersub was actually less complicated than setting up patreon was!
