How did/do you wake your newborn for feeding? We've tried: tickling feet, opening windows, removing clothes, metal music, wet wipes, burping, diaper changes...and she still sleeps like a rock. New mom here and open to suggestions ๐Ÿ˜

just saw that Bangladesh is The Economist's country of the year. i TOTALLY missed Muhammad Yunus stepping in to lead the government. any thoughts? i don't know much about his current politics or work, but i remember learning about him and micro loans 20 years ago - it was revolutionary

I submitted a menu request to a US restaurant for an event. their reply: "Our culinary team is excited to craft a customized menu that includes some of your selected dishes and signature creations from our chefs, ensuring a one-of-a-kind meal..." wtf is with American customer service double speak?

There's a scene in the Ghibli movie ONLY YESTERDAY when the main character says she loves being in nature, and the farmer says that this isn't nature - it's what humans fought nature to make their own. I think about that a lot. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0102587/

realization: i like the "To Kill a Mockingbird" approach to storytelling. i.e. start with the climax (Jem in bed with a broken arm), then go back and tell the story. it's kind of like doing a TL;DR or BLUF
