First time using dried lima beans and omg I did NOT know the skins are left on 😩 I've always used fresh or canned butter beans And now I'm questioning myself: have dried beans always been this way?

Saw this clip from Girls on the Bus and it really stuck with me. The statement that our work is the first line of our obituary and our family is the last...oof. It reminds me of when Olivia Newton John died, and everyone was waiting for a statement from John Travolta. No one cared what her family had to say because they didn't know her family. But her onscreen relationship - her work - resonated with people. I guess the real question is: who do we want to remember us? How did/do you wake your newborn for feeding? We've tried: tickling feet, opening windows, removing clothes, metal music, wet wipes, burping, diaper changes...and she still sleeps like a rock. New mom here and open to suggestions 😁

just saw that Bangladesh is The Economist's country of the year. i TOTALLY missed Muhammad Yunus stepping in to lead the government. any thoughts? i don't know much about his current politics or work, but i remember learning about him and micro loans 20 years ago - it was revolutionary
