The PvP range of Brain Worms has been adjusted from 100 to 200, if you’ve been stuck in your range it’s a good time to revisit the game https://delcomplex.com/login-brainworms-simulator

I’ve been working on an autonomous trading bot with a custom trained deep neural network that works on both ETH and BTC predictions, having this is going to make it much easier once I’m ready to deploy. I can just swap between ETH, cbBTC and USDC all on base with one wallet/contract

I spent about 10 years working in AR/VR and this question is part of why I've been so burnt out and stepped away from the industry. There are some games that really make sense in VR like Beat Saber, Super Hot, and Half Life Alyx, all of which are great. But existing games don't map to VR and you have to really design from first principles of what the device wants. That's not something big game developers are willing to do given the size of the market. And because the medium is inherently spatial it requires users to burn calories to engage with, which is not a behavior compatible with gamers as they exist today. They want to sit still and move as little as possible. Spatial movies are great on the vision pro, and video calls even though they are wonky are pretty compelling. Because of the ray traced audio it really sounds like the person is in the room with you. The added sense of presence is way better than a standard video call We've been ten years away from VR for the last ten years, still 10 years away

If I do something that seems legal today, why is it they can decide later it’s not, and fuck me over? That type of thing terrifies me as a developer and artist

This is a nice talk about rising inequality from a former interest rate trader and has some poignant questions, reminds me a lot of the crypto space and the extreme greed here I’ve always wondered about cooperatives, if it’s programmable money why aren’t there more profit sharing incentives and collectives of artists or other groups , more people experimenting with alternative economic models. I guess some DAOs are trying , anyway this is worth a listen I think https://youtu.be/0jwCLwi_N70?si=J6ol1CC55Af-aY45

There’s a large category of things in the home that are transitory and forgotten by designers. Dish racks, the bathroom trash can, dust pans, short lived utilitarian things that just need to be cheap and good enough, so they end up abjectly ugly. But we face them daily, and they look back at us with their profane cheap plastic faces. I can’t stand this kind of thing. They form the bedrock of daily life and their cheap uncared for forms echo into everything else. Home Depot is like a graveyard of this kind of zombie object. You could easily make a mass manufactured cheap ceiling light that wasn’t gruesomely ugly, I guess Ikea is trying to do that, but it should be the default not the exception. We need to collectively reject the ugly mundane things and demand beauty

They gotta call this “living off the likes” not the land, yield like 20lbs of vegetables a year and get six figures from ad revenue filming the homestead
