Farcaster hubs could be a lot more efficient if they didn’t have to permanently store all the content on the network

The architecture I have in mind is similar to ethereum blobs: beacon nodes store/serve them for 2 weeks to give everyone a fair chance to archive

if there's an archival service ill keep minimum hub storage and offload my stuff there (still want to use them as training data)

Considering AI training use cases - sure. For pure consumption use cases >99% of content is disposable

Long tail theory on content is that the useful life is actually much higher than “disposable.”
