What are the issues you encounter that prevent Warpcast from being a world class app in the social category? Mainly on mobile and compared against apps like X, Instagram, Bluesky and other network heavy apps. I wouldn't compare it with Telegram and WhatsApp for example since those are local-first apps, which Warpcast isn't.

A lot of the time I’ll see a notification for a new DC but when I click into the DCs tab I don’t see any new messages until I restart the app

The state of split brain between notifications, the list of groups/people, and the actual dms/GCs makes the whole process of interacting with DCs feel half baked. It adds a ton of friction and is super confusing, especially given that I send a web dm web and sometimes don't see it on mobile or vice versa also makes me question the state of messages at any given time. Not trying to be overly critical but this kind of stuff feels like table stakes to compete with any other chat app.
