generally skeptical of govt deciding what I can see in my feed (or the benefit of govt involvement here) my hope is that decentralized social will also lead to decentralized (and more transparent) algos and perhaps algo choice. also hoping that this model eventually beats the centralized ones, but that's not gonna happen without this alternative having a sustainable business model

fair enough, tho I'd argue it's more complicated to do than it sounds โ any algo can be perceived as biased in some way, even if it's a purely chronological "algo."
