LOL, DWR said that Bluesky is far more centralized than Warpcast/Farcaster. Maybe it is because nobody puts in the resources to run other networks, but everything about how BlueSky works is open. Everything is open source, feeds can be created by anybody, and GitHub and Discord communities are far more vibrant and open. It is absolutely a joke to state that Farcaster/Warpcast is more transparent, Warpcast is the definition of opaque, everything that is now open was spooned open bit by bit, and Bluesky had everything open from the get-go.

lol i think he was referring to the underlying data (hubs vs PDS), which tbh just has different trade offs and doesn't actually affect the state of decentralization from a user's point of view doesn't matter if my cast is sitting on 1000 different hubs if it doesn't show in warpcast

> doesn't matter if my cast is sitting on 1000 different hubs if it doesn't show in warpcast But all the data is open and permissionless and not sitting on a single company's server. So why you have seen Farcaster protocol data organically show up in many other applications.

i don't think it's a fair comparison and therefore it's hard to say which is more decentralized because you have approached decentralization from different parts of the stack farcaster is more developer focused and apps integrate the social graph, but the vast majority of users browse casts in warpcast in a single feed (although better now that you have the option for a following feed) bluesky is less focused on third party integrations from what i can tell, but the distribution and storage of content in the bluesky app is more advanced because they've opened up their client and created markets for different client functions like feeds, moderation, and data hosting

Coinbase is about to change that. A much larger user base than Warpcast / Farcaster. How many other apps have integrations with AT proto graph data? Zora, Rodeo, Rainbow and soon Coinbase for Farcaster.
