since joining instagram i've realized that my friends barely make standalone posts but post to their stories multiple times a day

another correlation i've noticed is that the people posting to their stories most frequently are single. although small sample size so maybe a coincidence

i def share more stories than posts like on a rate of 90% stories 10% posts

would say that 1:9 is actually quite high! most of my friends haven't even posted since i joined around 3 months ago but post on stories every day

i think the ephemerality makes it a lot more approachable for people who don't really see themselves as content creators

i don't see posting content on instagram as being a content creator. just an app to share pics/videos with my friends

q for all: how important on a scale of 1-10 is being able to control who can see your stories?

personal observation: FB has earned trust that the user has control over who gets to see their pics
