since joining instagram i've realized that my friends barely make standalone posts but post to their stories multiple times a day another correlation i've noticed is that the people posting to their stories most frequently are single. although small sample size so maybe a coincidence

two things i have noticed wrt stories and posts, this has led to me post less at least. - posts don’t surface on people’s TL. they quickly get buried by the recommended posts from IG. - less likes on the post (because of first observation likely) but stories have views and reactions. more people see stories as only stories shows up for people you follow.

may I ask how long ago this was? if it's recent, why didn't you join earlier? why now? I'm asking because I've never had one, but non-crypto friends love it, so I'm curious about your motivation

A friend of mine (really) told me years ago the killer feature is the private (dm) reply/comment to the story. So basically is where “the game” is.

i haven’t made a standalone instagram post in 3.5 years but enjoy posting stories far from daily while at home (maybe bi-weekly on average) and pretty often while traveling

i've archived 80% of my instagram posts over the years, the archive button is fun because it allows me to pull back and put forward content as i like to on my grid (during halloween ill unarchive all halloween posts, etc) im wondering how you are deciding who is single and who is not, many of the people i follow on social may appear to be single but are in very committed relationships and just don't share that aspect ive also noticed many people just post to close friends stories curious about if you like IG or not, ive viewed it as a sunk time project over the years and it has fallen far from where it was for building connections in 2017-2020
