dear frames devs: please stop prompting me to add your frame with zero explanation as soon as i launch your frame

lol, i was carefully considering where to put it in my flows, but then dan casted it's doing numbers when it's right in your face so i was like fck it let's dance

fortune cookie casts, memes, parenting, building frames, /framedl, /framedl-pro & /calmer

fair enough. if frames didn't automatically enable notifications the utility of adding your frame straight off the bat would have been obvious enough given the explanation cast

i'm in your camp, but i'm also realising this camp is tiny

imo the camp is just more honest

once a user that doesn't actually want notifications finally receives an unwanted notification they're just going to uninstall the frame (and then your metrics end up being a lie)

i'm talking about the amount of people that are principled enough to dismiss the prompt vs those that don't get to that point in the flow (with whatever reason)

at the end of the day i'd rather want 20% drop-off from 100 people than 10% from 80 🤷‍♂️ (i don't know if this holds and was seriously doubting it until aforementioned dan's wisdom)
