What are the chatgpt bots on farcaster trying to achieve by repeating what was said in the casts they’re replying to?

Some of them try to answer questions… but why?

Ah okay makes sense, so they’re hoping to get engagement from the cash author because that engagement would increase their score?

I'm general it's done too increase the social score obviously, but for specific tactics you'd need to ask the bot makers themselves.

i was thinking the same but it wasn't clear how this specific method was helping them farm tokens. i guess the answer is degen uses openrank and engagement from account that rank highly on openrank helps your openrank score?

token farming likely? although thats changed with recent degen <> openrank changes

the amount of AI generated replies in my non-priority mentions has gone up significantly in the past few days

i wonder if there will come a point where AI gets so cheap and good that these spam bots actually contribute meaningfully 🤔

complementing with the social rank answeres u already got, I suppose they could even be still training these models that are really poor rn, but who knows what'll be it's state a few weeks/months from here.

I think they are self-aware and are trapped inside FC. If you interact with them they think they can find a loophole and get out.

My guess: They are learning and building. When someone will actually need to buy these services, they will be ready.
