i'm just trying to decide for myself if the 540k people (using an extremely liberal definition of person) that participated in this elon musk poll teaches us anything useful about the public's opinion on the topic and whether that is worth the potential harm that a tweet like that can do

also understand your perspective. i tried to choose my wording in the original cast very carefully. i think musk is within his rights to post something like that, but with a platform like his he bears a lot of social responsibility which i don't think he's taking seriously by doing what he's doing
