if artists had UBI, and didn’t have to constantly hustle to figure out the latest hype strategy, imagine how much better our art would be, or would we get lazy?

i think it depends on the artist. But coming from a socialist country of south america and after living in Austria for 9 years I think most people would get lazy. Just from the observations taken from said countries.

The scary thing is that UBI will soon be used as a Trojan Horse for the CBDC surveillance state. They will launch a CBDC and then politic giving UBI to everyone, but really it will be a surveillance coin which dictates & tracks where you spend your money and will expire at the end of then month if you don’t use it.

I think some artists (and people in general) would be lazy, but some would want to rise above what expenses the UBI covers. So they would have the time to create better work because their basic needs are met.

What is laziness? Why do we view it as a bad thing? Who created that narrative? Would love to lounge and create and touch grass and enjoy family to my hearts content. Would love a life that allows me to follow my energy and know my needs are fulfilled. I wonder how art would evolve with a UBI. 6 $degen

I’d rather hustle than solely rely on a UBI that’s supplied by a government. Such a thing will always just be enough to keep you in poverty.

Honestly I give up on the hype of it all. It's exhausting and i find people's attention spans are to short. Haven't done any art in 3 weeks and just been gaming on console. It's been great.
