i think it depends on the artist. But coming from a socialist country of south america and after living in Austria for 9 years I think most people would get lazy. Just from the observations taken from said countries.

well i think most art is dying everywhere. Anything successful has a commercial twist to it. In my opinion, of course.

basically here in USA is like the Hunger Games, where no one cares about art/intellectual things, everything is about “products, marketing and sports”

it’s not UBI but there’s almost perpetual welfare for some people in Austria, and these are amongst the laziest people. I used to date a musician who was perpetually on welfare and never really got to do anything.
