David created a channel on Discord to discuss this and gives more information about what happened

The Bankless group tried to reach out to this person in good faith but wanted to extort a lot of money from them. Bankless were willing to give up on /bankless channel and create their own under BanklessHQ

While I'm against squadding and jonny seems to have acted in bad faith...the ”bankless wants their channel" is definitely a bad phrasing from dan.
Also imho banklesshq and their community(which I am part of) has no single right on the word bankless, which isn't really a big topic at banklesshq media production anyway

tl;dr: this guy clearly violated the pre-established rules about channel squatting

He asked for a "high value ENS" worth of value for /bankless 
Turns out he was doing for over 10 other branded channels
And he lied to Dan saying he wasn't

which is why I asked here and Discord to get more information. After everything, its clear that the person was acting in bad faith

Also FC and Warpcast isnt decentralized like ENS, he didnt do his research lol

Just my opinion here, but he knew what he was doing by taking that name.  Can almost guarantee he chose it deliberately to try and screw them over.  Bad faith actor who can take a long walk off a short peer.

Could Bankless easily take some slightly modified name like /BanklessHQ to match their handle or something?
