I think a lot of people just didnβt re-lock after initial unlocks. Those that did, now have smaller allocations and are probably stacking up their allowance over multiple days to be able to give at least one βmeaningfulβ tip to someone. Kind of been my strategy so far, but then Iβm tipping so seldomly that I forget π

For me it feels like the pay to play really killed it. They let people buy in for big allo and farm tips. Holders equity got transferred to farmers and by the time they cut it back down the damage had been done.

Danach was done already before the staking. Too much farming, too little fun (or revenue) to sustain it.

True tokenomics were probably always broken. Why would new buyers want to pay for others to tip out their equity? I still wonder if some sort of advertising based tipping coin would work. i.e. sponsor pays for fixed value tokens to be tipped with a branded coin.

Yep, Initially it was a cool Distribution method (that was prolonged..) to get broad attention but never comverted it into a more sustainable project while the Main utility use case & adoption from early social fi apps also went away slowly (inofficial farcaster Token). Using any Token for tipping is cool but few want to use their own money. I also believe tipping distribution can work in a Limited, well-Scoped area; for example when you have clear community KPIs, leaderboards and tippers & recipients both earn for good actions, Not farming.
