I personally don’t get the L3 meta either. I could see an application where the L3 is ephemeral and then spun down after its use case is through. Something akin to spinning up a server and then spinning it down after the work is done. But even that, the whole interaction with the L3 would need to be abstracted away from the user

Agreed. Maybe sometime down the road multiple layers totally abstracted could make sense. I.e. Starbucks has an L3. I don’t think most crypto apps make sense to have their own L3
