I'm not a fan of fiction books.

Fiction relies on made-up characters, plots, and metaphors to explore aspects of reality and human nature.

I find it much more fun to learn the core ideas presented directly.

I often have people tell me that fiction is a waste of time and ideally I should read the summary on blinkist cause efficiency. 

Sooo exploring aspects of reality and human nature is not a worthy thing, cause stuff is made up in those books. 

Have you considered that most  economists are also just making stuff up? 😏

I've never understood this... something being fictional doesn't somehow take value away from it. You can learn so much from fiction. 

You can GROW so much from reading it... this is such a weird take.
