I can imagine credits for universal basic compute (probably measured in tokens?) that sit in your wallet, and when you go to websites you can donate them / spend them for the AI to take actions on your behalf

Nice!!! I had a synchronous thought earlier today, using distributed compute for actual LLM creation and training, under a Web 3 rubric. A Dao for safety/directional control, and then your UBcomputeI (UBcI) could be an underpinning for the economics of it. I think the trick is in doing this in a way that is truly demoralized, so no whale can spin up a huge data cluster and dominate the economics and creating a point of failure. The combo of compute and economic access to contributors and a self contained decentralized LLM would be amazing!
