CIVILIZED ❤️🤍🩵 It's been a long time since I watched a political debate and didn't want to punch one (or both) candidates. Absent was (most of) the usual name calling we've seen in the last 8 years. While Vance and Walz disagreed on most things, they also agreed on several, and admitted it freely. It even felt at some points they thought their opponent's ideas were good ones. They complimented each other. They showed empathy. They treated each other like humans. I even thought somewhere in there that maybe they could work to brainstorm solutions TOGETHER. While I won't talk about their performance off stage, or on social media, I have to admit that was incredibly refreshing. We are capable of solving our problems if we just listen to each other, instead of choosing sides and defending them blindly. I vote for more /CIV.əl.ɪzed/ treatment of our fellow human beings, in ALL situations. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/crr5j1q8wlno
