What's the difference between a steam room and a sauna?

steam room is steamy, oversaturated with water, 115-125 degrees typically, you're going to be wet after. in a sauna it's super dry, temperatures way higher like 160-180, your sweat evaporates much more and it's usually extremely dry unless you add water to bring up the humidity a bit. steam might be better for skin idk

Steam room feels like your eyeballs are melting and your lung alveoli are shrivelling - some people are into it I guess
