Your quadrants are interesting put that way, we do end up pulled towards engagements in the top right, and I think there is lots of valuable space in the lower two, but many Indies struggle to price and negotiate these arrangements.

Your question about the shifts required between quadrants... I think there's an opportunity in community to help support this better. Assuming each Indie has access to education materials, the actual pivot of offering a different type of service and referrals is huge. How could that play out?

I've felt a lot of these things too, and appreciate the mix of general indie life experiences and personal preferences.

I think that there's an aspect of seasonality too - sometimes I want to spend a season leading a project, another season, I just want to be heads down working in the weeds.
