Ok, ok, that's 100% most appealing to most people, but I think multiple rationales/marketing strategies are possible. And vital to KEEP people.

The reason 14/m me did chatrooms, except FC works. It's been rad for earnest, smart, funny, not (often) viral content by real-life wonderful humans. I've not known such product feedback and art participation anywhere else. Ever.

3) You heard it here first. / Be early.
Tech/innovation exposure before anywhere else. Which, as is often the case, led to the money stuff.
(Money was a fun bonus, don't get me wrong, but a bonus. It mostly proved how good we all were at being early, which is the badge of honour we really want.) 0 reply
