Developing for mobile in crypto sucks. You basically have to pick between innovation vs growth? With Native Apps, you get the optimal experience but you have to work within app store rules (no token gating, etc). With PWAs, you can innovate freely but you're sacrificing growth potential through worse UX/performance.

hopeful of iOS sideloading happening in a meaningful way https://www.computerworld.com/article/3710368/apple-gets-ready-for-app-sideloading-in-europe.html

Maybe, doubt most people will go through the process to sideload apps. And Apple definitely won't make it easy.

I’m optimistic that it’ll end up like Mac apps - the app store is the primary distribution method, but it’s easy to sideload from any website and people expect it for certain types of apps

can't be that much more complex than installing a PWA, right? I'm sure Apple will find ways to make sideloaded apps worse in meaningful ways, even if its just performance. Hope that the EU follows through and forces them to fix those intentional shortcomings
