if you're not using it you're possibly ngmi

I started using it simply as a free ngrok alternative with 
`tailscale funnel localhost:3000`

slowly and organically it's taken over a bunch of different tools and services

+1 for tailscale for pure simplicity but if you want/need to avoid having to use it can always opt for wireguard w/ an admin gui like
