Farcaster

Any tips for onboarding to Farcaster? As a newbie here, it's tricky: 
- None of the people I know is around
- Some accounts start following me and interacting, but that seems 100% automated/spam
- my feed is a weird mix of mostly irrelevant things

I guess it will get better... hints for speeding this up are highly appreciated

Here are a few things that might have helped me:
- Some communities (e.g, many Discord servers) have a "welcome" channel or similar. People who want to help newbies hang out there and greet newcomers.
- Try to show less spam. As a new follower, it's not fun if your first followers look automated and if there's a lot of "gm" casts in your feed.
- In the signup flow, there is one screen asking about interests. This could be improved:
  * explain what it does (does it subscribe me to channels? Is it just for Warpcast's algo?). I didn't know and chose to skip.
  * show more diverse content. It essentially suggested "crypto" and "farcaster", and many things I had never heard of.
- Finding people to follow is actually quite difficult. The system suggests some popular accounts (like dwr). But I have no idea who these people are, it's hard to find out from their profile, hard to judge account quality, and I don't know why I should follow them.

pick a channel you know somethin about, post in there and reply to folks.

first tip would be try to cast into channels - once u build a channel list this will become more natural

Explore channels.  Find casts you like, follow them, reply to them.  The algorithm will learn your preferences over time.

Go into channels and reply is the #1 thing you can do to bootstrap.

Beyond that, what are you into? I can direct you to some accounts to follow or intro you to people.
