These criticisms seem like they would be valid for like, any mobile game like candy crush or subway surfer or something. i see nikita's apps as social games for teens. i'm not sure that any app that captures youth attention is inherently predatory, and i don't see the diff between tbh/gas and like subway surfer

if you have the same criticism for such mobile games then that's consistent, but i still would be curious like, what is a youth app that is not predatory under this lens? does it have to be something with an explicit educational purpose?

To me, I think the primary difference isn’t in the apps but in the posture of the founder. He self-styles as some turbo genius, has all these guys simp for him, foists his terrible opinions on us, and for some reason we take it srs. I can’t attack the founder of Candy Crush because I don’t even know who he/she is
