college is a resource if you think you don't need it and your time can be used elsewhere to garner as much density of useful resources as effectively (or more) then no reason to go for the vast majority of people, they believe this to be true, but they're not who they think they are

My position is that effectiveness of college as a resource for its purpose is dwindling, and the effectiveness of other resources for the same purpose is increasing So on a multi-decade time frame, more people will opt out

yea i think those who are ambitious will opt out and find it was worth the trade off i think most people tho will find they are worse off even in the next 20 yrs for not going (depends on debt tbh). most people can't even commit to reading a book or doing 30min of exercise a day to me cost is the biggest factor. if college was affordable it's probably a no brainer for most ppl
