tbh, since degen, nobody has actually attempted another quality version of this, sans the actual warpcast team.

meaning, they had the right thesis, but implementation was the wrong trade.

fwiw i quite respect what you and the team built (search 'from:six moxie' or 'from:six jason goldberg', just disagree with the implementation of the protocol. it'd be a great outcome for farcaster if you're right and i'm proven wrong

nah I think the actual model was broken from the start, wouldn’t have succeeded long term regardless of timing

agree - was directionally correct but missed the mark, primarily on brand imo

I think the hypothesis of “get rewarded for providing content the top content creators like” was worthy of exploration.  The original idea was that top creators would be good curators.

Unfortunately like two weeks after launch they allowed people to buy into being curators which made it just like everything other tip coin.

implicit tipping is a great idea but i think it’d have to be client-native (read: warpcast-native) for it to truly have legs 

explicit tipping, like degen, operates as a form of self-promotion which is something moxie is missing out on
